“Our Energy is Contagious”
At Coastal Lacrosse Academy, our team culture is built on the principles of learning, growth, and mutual respect. We believe that success is not solely defined by winning games but by the lessons learned and the personal growth achieved through the sport. In lacrosse and life, you are not losing if you are learning. This philosophy is integral to all our teams and is something we emphasize in every practice and game.
Why Should You Go Coastal?
-
At Coastal Lacrosse Academy, we are unwaveringly committed to creating a positive and supportive community where every member feels valued, secure, and motivated to give their best. We expect our parents to uphold these values and help us maintain a healthy and empowering environment for our young athletes.
-
We teach our players that how they show up matters. You get what you give; if you want to be better, you must do better. This means playing hard, practicing hard, and never giving up on yourself or your team. Our coaches instill a strong work ethic, encouraging players to put in their best effort and strive for improvement consistently, but players must know that it also must come from within. We focus on becoming better athletes and individuals, understanding that the journey is as important as the destination.
-
Many people think that team culture is only about the coach and players on the team, but that could not be further from the truth. Our team culture is a collective effort that includes everyone involved—coaches, players, and parents. Parents play a critical role as "gatekeepers" of the team culture. At Coastal, we expect our parents and coaches to be part of the solution, not the problem. We encourage parents to model positive behavior, support the coaching staff, and foster a respectful and encouraging atmosphere. We welcome input and feedback from our parents but ask that you do so positively and respectfully.
-
“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team." - Phil Jackson. We believe that respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship should extend beyond the field. Our behavior and choices as individuals impact the culture of the team and program. Kindness, comradery and a team mindset is expected from each player.
Meet Our Teams
When a player commits to a Coastal Lacrosse Academy team, they are committing to a year-round program designed to foster growth, teamwork, and high-level competition. This one-year commitment spans the fall, spring, and summer seasons, with a schedule carefully crafted to strike the perfect balance between player development and family time.
Our goal is to help players compete at their best without risk of burnout. Throughout the year, our teams participate in 2-3 competitive fall tournaments and 3-5 summer tournaments, offering ample opportunities for skill enhancement and team bonding.
